Planning Consent For Replacement Cottage

Acting on behalf of a private client, Goadsby has obtained planning permission for a replacement cottage at Lyons Hill Farm, Minterne Magna. Situated in the heart of the Dorset countryside, the existing building was an original ‘Woolaway’ cottage, of concrete frame and panel construction, built after WWII to address the housing shortage at the time.

The planned replacement cottage is a rather grander building, with Hamstone Ashlar and Rubble Hamstone elevations under a thatch roof. The quality design reflects the location of the site within the Dorset National Landscape.

Dorset Council determined the application within the statutory 8-week period.
