Shop To Flat Conversion Proposed
Updated: December 4, 2025
Acting on behalf of the freehold owner, Goadsby has submitted a planning application for the conversion of Shop Unit 11, The Old Sorting Office, Wick Lane, Christchurch, to a flat. The application seeks a more beneficial use of the building, as it has been vacant for over one year. Although such conversions can normally be the subject of permitted development, the original planning permission for the site contained a condition restricting alternative uses.
A decision is expected from BCP Council at the end of January 2026.
