James was very professional and kept myself & my parents informed of each and every step of the selling process. James was extremely patient with my elderly parents and took the time to explain everything to us all. I would personally recommend him and your company to anyone wishing to sell a property in the Weymouth area.
Buying from Goadsby wasn't a pleasant experience. I understand that ultimately they want a quick turn around of properties and they want to keep their clients happy but there were a couple of unfortunate scenarios with our sale - mainly due to having a buyer pull out a day before the whole country was locked down. Goadsby gave us a short, unfair time frame to find another buyer, considering the property market was slow to pick up initially after the lockdown period. As a result we had to sell our property for less than it was worth. Everything was ready to go, our sale and purchase were very much in their final stages. There was *literally* one more thing to do, for our buyer to communicate a completion date to their solicitor. I spoke to the manager and explained that communication by a local solicitor was extremely slow. Later that day, I got an email from Goadsby to say if they didn't know a date for exchange within the next 36 hours, they would remarket the property. (Even though they knew we were ready and had been waiting to exchange.) I found the manager was condesending during phone calls and their 'technique' is extremely manipulative. To them, its just another house, another sale. But to a family, who've found what they would consider their dream home, it's cruel.

It does sound like you had a difficult sale and purchase but we would only act on our clients instructions, so if you were given a short time to exchange that would have been led by our client. Please get in contact though as I would like to be able to get back to you with some answers. Was the property being bought in a different name to yours?
Goadsby was very quick and professional at finding me a buyer. However, there was hardly any further support. Virtually very contact made was at my instigation. The transaction took from July to October for a chain-less sales at both ends and should have been very straightforward. The other side's solicitor was very incompetent, but Goadsby never chased things up of their own volition or, if they did, they never told me about it. I paid a huge amount for the finding of a buyer.
